Heritage apartment refresh — preserved structure, updated mechanicals, durable finishes for short-term rental use.
Scope
A heritage apartment in Old Montreal rebuilt for short-term rental duty. Original walls, masonry, and timber floor structure stayed; we rerouted plumbing and electrical, replaced the kitchen and bath in full, and refinished the floors in place.
Highlights
- Original walls and floor structure preserved
- New kitchen with durable, rental-grade finishes
- Bathroom rebuilt with full waterproofing membrane
- Refinished original timber floor (no replacement)
- All mechanicals updated to current code
Notes
Heritage buildings in Old Montreal are coordinated with the borough's patrimoine team before any window, façade, or mechanical penetration is approved. We worked from drawings the borough had already seen.
